DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Party allegiances losing their grip

Old party allegiances appear to be weakening in the Dominican Republic. An opinion survey released last week shows more voters stating that they would not mind backing a candidate that did not belong to the political parties, or would be even more inclined to vote for such a person. The poll also suggested that the opposition Pink Alliance is weaker than suspected.
